I grew up in the farmlands of Western New York. I have always been interested in the outdoors and nature, which probably led me down the path of my biology education.
I took an interest in farming and gardening when I took my first ecology class in college and I realized how synergistic and multifaceted nature truly is.
As an entrepreneur, I want to expand Future Acres into the farm of the future, introducing indoor aquaponic growing techniques to the DMV area for full vegetable production that can be accomplished anywhere.
Serving the public with tasty and nutritious food fills me with joy, and the innovative ideas surrounding composting that I am working on excites me in hopes of creating a major food waste hub in the DMV.

Dave and I started growing microgreens and wheatgrass for health benefits just before Covid hit. During the lockdown, I learned the art of growing micgrogreens pretty quickly and I love doing it! It's such a peaceful practice and the health benefits that micogreens provide to our customers are astronomical. It feels good offering such a great product with many benefits to the public.
At this time, Dave and I are actively seeking our next step for Future Acres and are excited for what's to come. Stay tuned!
